Ole Fart Cruise 2024
Yes, we’re still alive and kicking and cruising
So let’s join for another cruise
July 20-23
Looking forward to joining up with current and ‘wannabe’ ole farts for more joy of cruising in company! No proof of status required. OPEN TO ALL TO JOIN IN.
Starting 10 am Saturday July 20:
- Cruise through Captain’s Passage, up Trincomali Channel to Wallace Island/Princess Cove to stern tie, ’raft if inclined’
- afternoon group hike to the old farmstead at Conover Cove (wind and time permitting)
- 5 pm Happy Hour back on the Magena or the largest deck
Sunday:
- Get an early morning start to further explore Wallace Island trails to the NW, then head for Port Browning on Pender Island, to dock or hook
- Happy Hour at 5 pm (dockside or field TBD)
- Dinner in the restaurant at 7 pm
Monday:
- Leisurely ‘sail’ around the corner to Poets Cove
- Afternoon for exploration, ’stories’ and relaxation
- Happy Hour at 4:30, dinner in the restaurant at 6 pm
- Option: head back to SISC
Tuesday: return home or cruise onward to more favourite spots
Preparations:
- Please give me a heads up on your intentions so I can inform our destinations and make dinner reservations. Contact me through cruising@saltspringsailing.ca
- Please bring an appie contribution for each Happy Hour
- Bring your suntan oil
- Make your own personal marina ‘on dock’ bookings at Port Browning and Poets Cove
- Bring a favourite cruising story/destination or two to share with the rest of us!
