Club Round SS Race 2.0

This weekend has been updated to be a second try at the Club Round Saltspring Race, which wasn’t run in July because of lack of participants.

Club Round Saltspring (CRS) October 5/6 2024

1. CRS will be governed by the RRS and the SISC sailing instructions except as noted below.
2. CRS will be scored as a series of two races (Saturday and Sunday). 
3. CRS will be scored with club handicaps.  PHRFBC courtesy scoring may also be provided.
4. DNF will be scored number of finishers +1 and will be assigned a corrected time 10 minutes greater than the corrected time of the last placed finisher.
5. Any ties will be broken in favour of the boat with the lowest total corrected time.
6. The start line on Saturday and the finish line on Sunday will be the SISC club start/finish line.
7. The finish line on Saturday and start line Sunday will be a bearing of 130 degrees (true) to Paddy Milestone.
8. The Skippers Meeting will be 9:45 Saturday on the SISC dock.
9. The start time each day will be 10:30
10. The time limit each day will be 17:00
11. The course for each day will be Saltspring Island to Port or to Starboard, as determined and announced by the acting FCR at the skippers meeting.
12. There will be something called Kwindoo, which will be explained someway and somehow by the acting FCR.
13. Greg Slakov is the acting FCR
14. Any of the above may be amended by the acting FCR.
