Skill, determination, and raw talent has gotten two of our club’s junior race team boats into the BC Summer Games being held July 17th to the 21st in Vancouver. This is obviously a big deal for the kids and for the club! It wouldn’t happen without the time they spend on the water and their race results. And, just as importantly, equipment. The race team is self-supported with monthly dues, however a large regatta like this goes beyond that, and I’m writing to you asking for your generous donations to send our kids to the Summer Games!
Where will the money go you ask? New halyard and mainsheets for both boats, hiking straps, ferry and regatta fees, and the new sail kitty.
